From the 30th of September – 4th of October, eight teams from around New Zealand will compete for the Warren ‘Wolfie’ Williams Trophy and the title of NZ Youth Match Racing Champion. This year the line-up features a strong and diverse field with three teams from the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland, one team from Naval Point Club Lyttleton in Christchurch, one team from Queen Charlotte Yacht Club in Picton and three 3 teams from the home club the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club. The RPNYC teams will be looking to defend the title that they won last year and have been working hard on and off the water to prepare for the event.
The teams will be racing on the 1st-4th of October with the course being set just off the club making for great viewing from both the club and Clyde Quay Wharf.
The opening ceremony and briefing will be held at 6pm in the Wardroom. All club members are welcome to come and meet the teams.
