This clinic focus on improving your match racing skills in an Elliot 6m and gives you a taste of the New Zealand / Australian youth match racing circuit.
The clinic is at Wellington Ocean Sports out of our Youth Scheme training room.
Each boat requires to have 3 or 4 sailors who are still in high school or have just finished.
This clinic is an opportunity for a secondary school sailing team planning on competing in the Secondary Schools Match Racing Nationals later this year. The clinic will give your team an upper hand in the E6's and strong knowledge about match racing.
Friday - 16 July.
The first day comprises of getting to know the Elliot 6s and boat handling maneuvers. You will learn how to properly tack the E6s, hoists, gybes, drops and prestart boat handling.
Saturday - 17 July.
Day 02 focus on match racing theory followed by an on-water session putting this theory into practice. The afternoon consists of practice races which we will debrief in the classroom afterwards.
Sunday - 18 July.
Day 03 will be putting all the skills together into match races, followed by an in-depth debrief.
