The 2017 Wellington Secondary Schools Match Racing regatta will take place on the 23-24 September. Prior to the regatta, school teams will have the opportunity to train after school from 4-6pm once a week over six weeks. These sessions will commence the week beginning the 14 August. To be eligible for the regatta, each team must commit to at least three training sessions. Teams may have up to five sailors.
This year we are trying to make it easier for more students to get involved through allowing composite teams from more than one school to enter. This is intended for those sailors who may attend a school without enough other sailors to make up a team. We are also open to allowing more than one team from schools numbers allowing. The Organising Authority reserves the sole right to accept or deny entries, so if you are interested in potentially being a part of a composite team, or if your school may like to enter two teams, please contact the Youth Scheme Coordinator at youth.scheme@rpnyc.org.nz.
